Locking question

I've been having serious locking problems in mandrake 9.2 and now in v10. I'm pretty sure it's because of acpi or apic because I had the same troble in windows until I disabled it in my bios.
So.... I put noapic and noacpi in my lilo startup parameters but I get the following result on dmesg:
Code:
Kernel command line: BOOT_IMAGE=Mandrake_10 ro root=305 noapic devfs=mount acpi=ht splash=silent
bootsplash: silent mode.
Found and enabled local APIC!
It's pretty clear that noacpi wasn't even recognized and noapic didn't do sh*t. If anybody has any ideas how to *really* disable them please help or else I think I'm gonna make win xp my main OS again because it's far more stable. Thanks a lot.

After looking for a while... I FINALLY (thank God) came to an answer that has kept my computer stable. I added noapic AND nolapic to the kernel parameters and that seems to have solved my problems
