lilo error after compile of 2.6.3-9mdk on 10.0

I'm a noob and this is my 1st attempt at this.

I've tried it a couple of different ways, (rob1 & rob2). Everything seems to go ok, but lilo returns -

Fatal: open /boot/2.6.3-9rob2.img: No such file or directory

Everything seems to be there. Here's the dir listing...

bzImage-2.6.3-9rob2 is the name of your kernel, but you told /etc/lilo.conf it's name is 2.6.3-9rob2.img I think. You didn't post /etc/lilo.conf for us to inspect so this is a WAG.

It's also there as vmlinuz-2.6.3-9rob2, I think. Long story.

Here's lilo.conf -- it's a mess now...

Hi there

Does initrd=/boot/2.6.3-9rob2.img need to be initrd=/boot/initrd-2.6.3-9rob2.img ?

This would also make this entry identcal with your "vmlinuz" and "initrd.img" entry with your sym links - I think

Perhaps someone who uses Mandrake and LILO could help more than a grub user like me.
