Kdevelop and emacs

I am using the latest version of Mandriva 2007. I cannot install Kdevelop and emacs at the same time. Kdevelop needs Xemacs because of ctags. Xemacs conflicts with emacs. I tried installing ctags directly via the rpm and I get:

error: Failed dependencies:
rtld(GNU_HASH) is needed by ctags-5.6-3mdv2007.1.i586

I have no problem having emacs installed without kdevelop and kdevelop without emacs. Any help would be much appreciated.
