installing mandriva on vista
hi i would just like to know if it is safe to install mandriva on vista
because the last time i tried things went pretty bad.i could not boot either mandriva or vista
it showed the option for vista but did not boot ..a blank screen is all i got.
i am using thinkpad T61 intel core 2 duo nvidia quadro navo 140s
2 gb ram
i began by shrinking the C:drive with vistas built in option for partitoning.got about 10 gb for linux.then installed it.but could not boot into either of them.got a blank screen even with linux
is nvidia any reason for not booting linux because in failsafe mode could see all the files and all.i tried even vesa driver but things did not improve.i am a noob in all these so dont know much.
why does not vista boot...
i had to delete all partitons through mandriva2007 free dvd and use the recovery discs to get the laptop back to factory settings . would like to do better this time
so any help is appreciated
thnx in advance..
ps:also i would like to know if i can boot mandriva through vista boot loader as i have heard after i install linux the thinkvantage button wont work ...
