How do I make "select all/unselect all" in rpmdrake?

I am running mandriva 2007 with satisfaction. However, I find the included version of rpmdrake quite uncomfortable to use.

The fact is: when I open it (Start/System/Configure/Packages/Install&Update)
it opens with many updates already preselected (usually summing up to some hundreds of Mega to download). If I don't want to install all of them, I have to manually deselect them one by one!!

I know I am seeming stupid, but I looked everywhere for some "select all/deselect all" flag, but I just can't find it.

By the way, my installed versione is

rpmdrake-3.19-1.1mdv2007.0

I accept any kind of suggestion!

Thank you

The packages are not selected. The new package manager lists all the packages, and the installed ones are checked. Mandriva used to launch different guis depending upon what you thought you were doing, but the new idea is better. One gui, one list. If you look in the upper left hand corner, you can select to see only updates. Check it out.

I definitly assure you that many many updates are really pre-selected. I know the difference between the check-icons that indicate which of my packages are installed and which are selected for download, and I guarantee you that when I open the rpmdrake gui, so many items are already selected for download.

I open the gui, do NOTHING save for pressing "APPLY", and it starts downloading the 177Mb of preselected software. It did not behave like this after installing fron CD, It began behaving like this just after I installed some update.

However, I will try "smart".

(edit) Quote, "I definitly assure you that many many updates are really pre-selected."

They shouldn't be! (end edit)

You may find in the "file" drop-down menue a way to reset the selections, and reset the database.

I would do one at a time and close and restart the package manager each time.

So when you reboot it remembers the state it was left in.

Good luck.
