I need to disable my tv card because it is interfering with my web cam.
I went to hard drake and saw both devices listed but there was no option
to disable a device. (or at least none that I coud find)

The problem is that Camorama wants to display the image coming from my tv card and not my webcam. There is no option I can find in Camorama that will switch between video sources. I figure the easiest way is to disable the tv card. Beyond that I'll just have to yank the tv card out of the computer which would be my last option. Any help on how to disable a devcie? Thanks.

one thing you could try is doing a:
which would list your current modules, then when you identified the module for the device you want to disable do a:
which would unload that module...

just my two cents...

if you want that module to not load at boot, add the module name to /etc/hotplug/blacklist
