Question Disable Checking New Hardware?

Hey there guys!

I'm running Mandrake beta 9.2, (my favorite OS!), and I'm wondering how I can disable the hardware check at boot... It really takes WAY too long, and after a crash or so, heck, this combined with the hard drive scan really takes forever!

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks.

Moving to the Mandrake Forum

Welcome to LQ I think your question will be better placed in the Mandrake forum to get the attention it needs and deserves.

IIRC you can disable certain checks that occur at bootup in the Mandrake Control Center, but that was back in 8, 8.1, 8.2 and 9.0 so I could be mistaken and it could also have since been removed in 9.2

Cool

Well, actually I do believe you're right! (And thanks for moving the post, I thought it would be "ok" in there, but hey, Mandrake forum is better!

Anywho, I suppose it was the "harddrake" option in the startup/services... I remember seeing those, but nothing being close to a hardware detecting. *duh*

It just hit me. Anyway, thanks for your help!
