firestarter install blues

Hello,
I have installed firestarter using rpm package and done
the following.
I am Mandrake 10.1 off.

I then did ,

chkconfig --level 123456 iptables off
chkconfig --level 35 firestarter on

But when try and run firestarter I get the following error :

[varun@saamail varun]$ firestarter
NETFILTER detected

Then I am asked to enter root passwd.

Then I get the following dialog box :

A proper configuration for Firestarter was not found. If you are
running Firestarter from the directory you built it in, run 'make
install-data-local' to install a configuration, or simply 'make
install' to install the whole program.
Firestarter will now close.

Why does it do that? Its there alright in the start menu.
Now what more I need to do ?

Thanks

Varun
