Firefox 3: just wait?

Firefox 3.0 has arrived. What do you do? Just wait until Mandriva adds it as an update? Or do you install it yourself?

I personally do most of what they do, except I unpack the zip to /usr/lib64/firefox3

Then make the links to /usr/bin/

You can also do this on a per user basis.

to get firefox3...

Thanks! My Mandriva does not have a directory /usr/lib64, but as far as I understand it does not matter where one installs it, right?

Yeah, thats right, but to keep it tidy, I use that dir. You could use /usr/lib/firefox3
