drakx problem


i am new to mandrake linux
i recently installed mandrake 10.0 from the internet and when i try to run drakxconf (or any drak program) i get the follwoing error:

[root@rrcs-se-24-123-187-6 sbin]# drakxconf
Can't locate standalone.pm in @INC (@INC contains: /usr/lib/libDrakX /usr/lib/perl5/5.8.3/i386-linux-thread-multi /usr/lib/perl5/5.8.3 /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.3/i386-linux-thread-multi /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.3 /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.3/i386-linux-thread-multi /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.3 /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.2/i386-linux-thread-multi /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.2 /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.1/i386-linux-thread-multi /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.1 /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl .) at /usr/sbin/drakxconf line 6.
BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at /usr/sbin/drakxconf line 6.

any help would be greatly appreciated.
