This mandriva one really starts to be a problem rather than a solution.

Why everything must be so complicated ????

So I configured my internet connection.
Every time I want to connect I use this network tool at the bottom right.

From unknown reason the connection fails and instead giving me the minimal information for why the connection failed I get "verify your configuration ... blah blah ". Why not telling me exactly whats the problem so I could at least get a direction for solving this issue.

it worked fine this morning and now it doesn't

can anyone tell me where can I find a log for connections ?

tail /var/log/messages = see what errors are being reported

What type of connection is this (wired/wireless)?
Do you right click on the icon and go to Configure Network?
Have you used "Configure Computer" | "Network Devices" and reconfigured your card from there?

If you are having trouble with a wired card using the GUI, have you tried usisng "drakconnect" from the terminal?
