After being tired with network config I RETURN TO THE good old DEBIAN

I found a place where to take the debs for kde 3.4
deb http://pkg-kde.alioth.debian.org/kde-3.4.0 ./
but found some problems in Ubuntu in comparison with Debian unstable:

-some programs are old (valknut)
-some are not on the ftp
-ati drivers problem(low frame rate 70 fps ...)
-root user locked by default
-their is no net-install CD
-Ubuntu and KUbuntu come wiht GNOME/KDE by default
-big network config problems
