9.2 Drakconf MCC


Hi
On upgrading 9.2 I discovered tha MCC Sofware Manament in Mandrake Control Center is miising

No Icon to run Softwaremanagment.

How do I install this Software Management program whe n it does not install at Upgrade

Open a terminal, type "su" (without quotes), enter the root password and hit Enter. You will now be in a root terminal.

Type 'urpmi rpmdrake' (again without quotes). Depending on your setup (meaning whether or not you've previously configured external sources or not), this should at the very least install the version of RPMDrake on the CDs. If it doesn't work, please post the error message so we can help you further.

MCC

Hi motub
Thanks for information regarding urpmi rpm drake
Now have software manager back on MCC
Have One additional Server Cofiguration icon in MCC that I installed from Mandrake cd
In effort to have Software Manager, back in MCC
I can at least I can remove the unwanted Server Configuration

Glad it worked out. Don't forget to go to Easy Urpmi and configure some external sources, so you have access to more software than what's on the CDs.
