dvd Boot problems
Many times since swapping out my old and trusted ide pata dvd rw for a newer sata type,
I have problems booting live cd's as well as Distrobution dvd's.
The error is at boot when the bootloader goes to get the initrd (can't find file).
something like this...

I found a few pointers to solutions for different distros on the web,
and with the help of another pc to view the Mageia 1 dvd filesystem,
a real solution for this system was discovered.
