If I come to LQ with just https://www.linuxquestions.org/ I get the `Unexpected response code received.` message. ie) the Home in the upper left on every page.
Any URL which doesn't have a destination or path sends back an error -- what's up with that?
Same here. Also, some icons in the UI appear to be showing their alt-text rather than the icon. For example, the "add to reputation" icon of a post, the "insert image" icon in quick reply, and many of the icons in the "advanced" reply dialog's toolbar.
For me, this started yesterday after I'd cleared my browser cache (in prep for a system backup).
I've just tried clearing the history. The quick reply toolbar now shows the "remove text formating" icon but not the "insert image". Clicking on "Home" still gives "unexpected response".
I tried on two hosts. On ubuntu I can reach LQ (as usual), but on debian I have only this Unexpected response code received.
I don't really understand how can it be related to browsing history, but anyway, I will try that.
Distribution: Mainly Devuan, antiX, & Void, with Tiny Core, Fatdog, & BSD thrown in.

I also had some problems with getting into the forums, (I don't use much else), so what I did was to create a new bookmark link, & everything now works as before.

No, the home page does not work, otherwise the forum is "available". On both hosts.
