I submitted a new topic to the Wireless Networking forum, relating to my specific problem. I thought it was a fairly well rounded post (although I'd like to edit it and add a bit after doing more research) however the thread has not yet been reviewed by a moderator. When I originally submitted it, I was greeted with a screen saying it would be reviewed by a moderator before being posted in the forum. Sounds like a great system, but there's no "Pending Review" or any real trace that I even sent the post in on my side. It was originally submitted around 12 hours ago and it has yet to appear in the forum.
Any suggestions? If it was a sucko thread and I should stay off the boards an indication would be nice. I operate off of very low self worth so my assumptions are always down that road.
I cannot see any pending thread in Linux - Wireless Networking, most likely because I'm not a moderator of that forum. Regarding the thread content, the LQ automatic filter may have interpreted a link or some specific word as spam (unfortunately it is not foolproof). Be sure that a mod's action will be taken in the next few hours. In the meanwhile I move this thread to LQ Suggestions and Feedback to give it the exposure it deserves.
Thank you. I did not consider that hyperlinks could be misinterpreted (i buried some in url tags as well, not sure if that hurts). If my thread is not pending will I be notified? (Wish I still had it cached ugh)

Cheers!
Sorry a bit off subject, but I like the icon that comes up for your CentOS distro over in the left pane under your name. I never saw that one before....

The best route to go is to place an intro post in the sub form of LinuxQuestions.org Member Intro in the General Forum.
One of the reasons for this is to check to make sure you are not going to fill up the forums with spam.
Everyone works as volunteers so give them a little more time or go to the forum I mentioned above and make an Intro Post where I believe it the approval will be faster.

Yes, it's nice. I like also the SuSE geko as in Larry's post.
As far as I can tell, the issue with including links is that some spammers come along and work up some vague excuse to put up a link for whatever they are trying to promote. Now the assumption can be made that someone with a few posts and a 'clean' posting history is unlikely to be posting spam links (maybe not always right...but the assumption can be made), but, in the case of someone with a low post count, a mod has to go through any links, just in case.
I'm sure that we'd all prefer if this didn't have to happen, but you have to realise that this measure is not taken against you, but against unscrupulous spammers, and you have been caught in the cross fire.
