Slash

The Slashcode section of this site is... a little underused .

And the front page is a little lacking in content.... so I suggest:
  • Making slash the front page
  • Moving the FAQ on the front page to another location and linking from the front page
  • Putting a big and obvious link from the slash page to the forums (becuase we all love the forums!)
  • Putting a clear focus on what the slash pages are for (probably in the FAQ). We don't need another Slashdot, but announcing new help articals on other sites would be quite useful. (e.g. the IBM new Linux user faq (just after it came out - its a bit late now))

Slash will be going away VERY soon. I am rewriting the homepage to include news and more. Was hoping to be done by now, but it shouldn't be TOO much longer. Thanks for the suggestions!
