Intro to new members about reputation system

I'm a new member here and want to know about the reputation system, mainly how to give good rep to someone who has helped me. I see the "Did you find this post helpful?" but I also see some talking about "clicking the reputation scale" which is not clickable for me. I'm posting this in "suggestions" forum because: Can an intro be given to every new member about the reputation system or can there be a sticky post about it?

Hmmm. The txt, "Rep:" should be clickable. Although the scale itself is not.
