Try
cat /usr/src/linux/Documentation/* > /dev/dsp
it views the docs in the kernel sorce dir and sends the output to the sound card

working around problems, and being able to do so without crashing!

and being able to help people, while actually understanding what's going on

Ah the coolest thing so far is making a two node cluster for failovers with HeartBeat for MySQL (master - slave nodes, internal - external), Tomcat, our business app with six points of redundancy at every Point-of-Installation.

I'll be setting up a small data center later this year.

Yes, of course, that's how us, geeks, know so much. We simply download an encyclopedia and pipe it through our soundcard.

Well, I think the coolest thing I've ever done in my linux, was configuring my X to work with my dual head ATI graphic card. Here is my XF86Config Hope it'll be helpful.

The coolest thing besides getting it installed and configured correctly?

Realizing the awesome power that is capable with it and feeling like a kid in a candy store as I looked for the "learn everything through osmosis by clicking here" button.
