Ah the coolest thing so far is making a two node cluster for failovers with HeartBeat for MySQL (master - slave nodes, internal - external), Tomcat, our business app with six points of redundancy at every Point-of-Installation.
I'll be setting up a small data center later this year.

Yes, of course, that's how us, geeks, know so much. We simply download an encyclopedia and pipe it through our soundcard.

this may sound like a small accomplishment but i have been running linux fedora for 3 days and i got firefox installed on here. i also got wine installed but i don't know how to use it yet. i am sure that i will be making bigger steps in the future.
Well, I think the coolest thing I've ever done in my linux, was configuring my X to work with my dual head ATI graphic card. Here is my XF86Config Hope it'll be helpful.
The coolest thing besides getting it installed and configured correctly?
Realizing the awesome power that is capable with it and feeling like a kid in a candy store as I looked for the "learn everything through osmosis by clicking here" button.

the coolest thing i've done to date? dvds with aalib, write a menu for launching video games. change the boot logo.
