Angry i am facing problem regarding locked cdrom drive in mandrake linux 8.2

hi members,
i am new in linux world. i want to know how i unlock the cdrom drive

please post what your /etc/fstab looks like, I take it you cannot
access cdrom as a user? or root?

If you are trying to get a cd out that you have used you need to unmount it. Try right clicking on your CD icon and choose unmount if available (never used Mandrake). or from the command line:
umount /mnt/cdrom
