hows everyone on LQ today?
It's been a while since I messed with a Linus OS.
last time was a few years ago in school working with redhat 7 I believe.
I am really trying to install fedora 8 but it fails miserably.
I have the .iso and it just gives me "KERNEL PANIC - NOT SYNCING: ATTEMPTED TO KILL INIT!" when I try to install.
So gonna just take it easy and install ubuntu, which i did but am having problems booting it. that just gives me "[<c02f1592>] error_code+0x72/0x80"

I work Tech Support for my Cable ISP and lemme tell ya, 10Mbs download speed is teh sex, x2 when its free
I am trying to get a server up and running so people at work will have something to post on and chat to vent about whatever. I will try to run the phpbb 3.0 forum on it.
this is to give my co workers something to do and to prove to myself that I'm not the biggest waste of space around. lol
