Angry 3daccel works but with checkerlike appearence

Alright someone please help me
I finally got my Radeon9800 to work on fedora 1 after recompiling kernel
I got 3d acceleration running.
But when I load TuxRacer I get like checkers on my screen. There are like weird patterns on the screen like something is distorted. I can still see what is on the screen but there are purple dots/lines everywhere. What is the problem. This only occurs when Im running a game with opengl. Someone please help me. I am sooo close to getting these drivers fully functional. Thanks in advance
