Cool netXtreme Gigabit

Hi I'm Craig relatively new to linux. I have a fujitsu laptop dual booting ubuntu and xp and I am not able to get the ubuntu to work with my nic. I have dual booted with debian mandriva and ubuntu none of them works. I can't access the internet with the linux software. My flash drive also does not work. I really would like to perhaps move over to linux but It is definately not user friendly enough at this time. I still want to keep linux on my computer. Can anyone help me please. Thanks, Craig.
