Smile Longtime Linux User, new Slackware user

Hello Slackware users. I am a longtime Linux user. I started using linux in 1996 and have used Red Hat, Fedora, Mandrake, Debian, Gentoo, Sabayon, Ubuntu, PC Linux OS, Mint Linux, and other distros. My primary linux distro for the past 5 years has been Gentoo, which has taught me a lot about linux and has been a love/hate relationship as of late as I have been fighting with a broken system after an update. I like distros that are source based as it gives me more control over configuration issues and I learn more about how linux works. So I have decided to give Slackware a try for my home desktop/server machine, and my laptop.

Hi Keynone, with a background like that, it is only natural that you would start hanging out here sooner or later. Welcome to LQ.
