Talking Hello World.

There is great satisfaction in being able to post these words .
I first dipped my toe into the Linux world back in 2002.with red hat.
But no way could I find or install a working modem ,we were on snail dial then..Every modem we tried just failed . So played with around linux off-line for a couple of weeks and went back to>>> windows which
got really boring after a short time, so restrictive always cleaning up and decontaminating the system. Slow isn't the word for MS .
Now were here and dream of becoming really proficient.
With Debian squeeze installed we feel a little off the deep end . Because there is no paper copy of the manuals in English.
Not even the Dummies series.
I do my best studies late! having settled for the night when I read until I fall asleep.
So With Broadband wireless Connection ,a little (or a lot) of help now and then ,some serious study and practice ,I may come in time to be able to contribute to the Linux world
Hello ....Good fortune to all.

HI TINKSTER ETECH3 NZYZ

I,ve had debian running almost trouble free now for a full year.. Never achieved that with windows .

So now I feel that its time for me to move on a little further and buy a good Distro with a hard copy book.
The thing is there are hundreds out there and I have no idea which one will suit me best .
I require (need) one that supplies all the info including the cmd lines for installing wireless Internet (no brainer) Wine . Partitioning ,printers . adobe or some good fast flash player, music authoring ,and all the other desktop accouterments .
I feel that its a way of putting a little cash back into a system that has served me very well and also an opportunity to expand my almost geriatric brain cells.lol.
Its very hard on the old eyes concentrating on the on-line books ,hence the need for a book that I can stretch out in bed with and read at my leisure ..
Any and all help here Thanks / Del
