What's the site and is it possible your wireless providor (if it's say a school or your household router) has it blocked ?

well, it happens at a few sites...and they work on all my other computers...i have a computer with fedora core 3 and also one with windows xp......and it works on both of those, just not on my computer with slackware (which is my primary computer)....here is one site that it happens with:

http://www.mtv.com/music/live/perfor...tentid=1493570

i'm not sure what's on the site, but my friend sent me the link and told me to listen to a song on it

since the sites work on my other computers, i don't think it is a router problem...unless i need to forward ports or something to this computer...????? i don't really know all that much about slackware, is there some sort of firewall on slackware that i need to change some settings on?? i am using firefox just in case that's important in helping me....

thanks in advance for any help.....

Weird, I'm using Slackware and Firefox too but the page loads just fine for me (it doesn't appear to have any plugins either).

What version of firefox do you have?

When your internet connection dies, can you still use other services like streaming radio or ssh or ftp, etc?

There's a ton of Flash on that page. Do you have the Flash plugin installed in your browser?
