Hi:
I had never heard of Kerberos so I looked it up-
Quote:
Kerberos is a secure method for authenticating a request for a service in a computer network.

I'm not sure if you really need kerberos because unless I am mistaken Ubuntu has it's own authentication for networking. But if your on a server this application may be needed.
Sorry I am not on a server.

I have tried to move Kerberos and its associated files KRB5 into /tmp using Sudo & mv but I ended up with core dumps and system errors.

Posting those errors could help members with server experience to know what might be the problem.
Not all services and applications can use Kerberos

How does reformat and remove everything to give a clean hard drive ready for a new installation?
|
You can use a Live CD of g-parted and delete the Ubuntu partitions. (or) You could download a fresh distribution of your choice and install that and when the time comes to partition use the partition manager that comes with the installer to delete those Ubuntu partitions than proceed with the installation. (
Unless you have another operating system on your compupter alongside Ubuntu)
Sorry I don't know more-
