still can't get D-Link DWL-122 to work on Fedora Core 2

man, i've followed the instructions of many people but i think now i'm stuck...

so far i've been able to:
configure the kernel, install the drivers, configure the drivers

i've gotten to the point where the device seems to connect to the wireless router, here's what i get by running iwconfig:

IEEE 802.11-b ESSID:"PoolTable" Nickname:"PoolTable"
Mode: Managed Frequency: 2.437Ghz Access Point: 000:9B:BD:E0:43
Bit Rate: 11Mb/s Tx-Powe:....
...
...
...Link Quality: 60/92 Signal level: -6dBm....

so it seems to show the device connecting but i still cannot open websites and such

I went to Network Configuration and see that the status is inactive, so when i activate it I get the following ERRORS:

Error for wireless request "Set Encode" (8B2A):
SET failed on device wlan0; Operation not supported.
Error for wireless request "Set ESSID" (8B1A):
SET failed on device wlan0; Operation not supported.

Determining IP information for wlan0... failed.

i have a 2wire wireless router that came with my SBC dsl, it's configured so you need a WEP key to access it, i've done those according to the README in the driver.

i've read all the tutorials here but none of them see to match exactly whati have...

can someone walk me through setting up this connection? that would REALLY help!!! THANKS in Advance!

You did not mention what driver you are using, if you are using linux-wlan-ng drivers in the link below you can find howto setup wep support.
