Seeking wireless card for laptop w/ LINUX.

I would like to know which wireless network card works with Linux?

I have a Toshiba Satellite 1800 running SUSE 9.2 Professional.

I am using a cable, as I have not found a wireless card that will work with LINUX.

When I still used Windows XP, My Wireless Siemans card worked well. Now, I only run SUSE, and the wireless card does not work at all.

What would be the correct wireless card to use,

Thank-You!

Many WiFi cards require MadWiFi. Not sure about SuSE, but I know many distros don't have it since it's still beta.

Here is a list of Atheros based cards:

If your Linux is running a 2.6.x kernel with wireless options enabled it's easy to download, compile and install latest Madwifi driver:

http://sourceforge.net/projects/madwifi/

Some distros, i.e. Ubuntu, supports Atheros cards out of the box.

Please do not post the same thread in more than one forum. Picking the most relevant forum and posting it once there makes it easier for other members to help you and keeps the discussion all in one place.
