I'm having problems with my Belkin F5D7010 when I install PCLinuxOS to my laptop's HDD.

When I boot from the LiveCD (as I am right now!), PCLinuxOS Control Centre detects my card as an Ethernet controller andI can configure it with Ndiswrapper, bring up wlan0 and go online.

When I install to the HDD, however, PCMCIA is started successfully but no card is detected - saying Slot0 is empty.

I don't understand why after a HDD install this could happen. Isn't it, theoretically, exactly the same system and config that's installed? Is there something I'm missing?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have the same card.....

cardmgr
or
cardctl (to make sure the computer thinks it's plugged in)

if true then:

try ndiswrapper -l

it should say
(driver) driver present, hardware present
