Only lynx working when connected to wireless network

Hello all,

I'm having kind of an odd problem here. When I connect to the wireless network at my school using "dhcpcd wlan0", the only browser that works is lynx. I have no idea where to even start looking for the problem. I've configured the wireless network through ndiswrapper and iwconfig in the past and have gotten it working without a hitch. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Then your lynx is taking its proxy and/or gateway config from your user profile or your route config. For other browsers to work specify their proxy/gateway conf into them. Now, if that doesn't help, give more info posting the output of this:
ifconfig
ifconfig -a (if different output)
route
cat /etc/network/interfaces
plus, post the proxy configuration of the browsers that doesn't work, if any given.

That implies many answers there.
First option (quoting myself):
Quote:

Easy, just add the proxy configuration (IP and port of the proxy on your network) to your browser. In firefox (I'm translating menus from spanish lang) add it to edit > preferences > advanced > network > configuration.
Second option, post the output of several commands to understand your network:
type, as root, "route" in a terminal and paste here the output, "ifconfig", The same for "ifconfig -a" (if it gives different output from the last), "cat /etc/network/interfaces", and if you have any show what's your actual config in your browsers regarding proxy IP's and ports.
It will be great if you look into your system and user profile to see if there is a line like this:
Code:
HTTP_PROXY=http://192.168.1.1:8080
Try typing "cat $HOME/profile | grep HTTP_PROXY" and "cat /etc/profile | grep HTTP_PROXY" into a terminal and posting the ouput too.
So we'll have enough info to give you some useful answer, I think.

So... I had to reformat my computer for other reasons and now all browsers/applications are working fine. Thanks for your help anyway!
