Ndiswrapper poor link quality&network drops after kernel upgrade

Hi,everyone,I'm new to this forum, but I am using Mandriva for about a 1.5 years. For first time I have such a weird behavior from my system.I have read almost everything here,I was googling long time and I can't find anything I can use. Here is the problem:
After replacing the kernels I couldn't get to my wireless. So,I uninstalled my old ndiswrapper(version 1.21mdv,which was working perfectly) and put a brand new ndiswrapper 1.47,which one I compliled with no errors.Since then with either 2.6.21 or 2.6.17-14mdv kernels I got link quality about 40%(with the old configuration was 100%),my PC and router are in the same room,I haven't changed anything besides kernels.I replaced wpa_supplicant with new one, even I disabled my encryption and still get no better. On the top of this my wireless drop me out about every 10 min and I have to restart the network.I tried so many things,if I start to count I will write till tommorow Shortly:
I tried different driver(same chipset though).I exactly followed the instructions loading ndiswrapper(I already did it once before on my original kernel),I check dmesg every time something happen and can't see anything wrong with it.Looks like I can find the reason for this drops, everything looks ok,no error messages, nothing.Except for one Warning during make and make install. It says something that some file is missing in my kernel source tree and it will install ndiswrapper with no dependencies. It is just Warning,no error. Is this the root of the problem?By the way the hardware is ok,WinXP works with it,my old kernel also. For me the problem is with ndiswrapper. Is it possible this kernel to have build-in wireless support which conflicts with ndiswrapper?
I am running out of ideas, will appreciate any help!
I can post whatever is necessary to solve this weird wifi problem.
Thank you in advance!

Welcome to Linux Questions.

Interesting that it should work at all. But it looks like:
a) You've tried a compiled module for a different kernel version (which isn't always a good idea - for compatibility reasons).
b) When you compiled your own, your kernel headers were incomplete.
Basically, I think you need to ensure that you have the complete source tree, and try a recompile. If that does not work, what file does it complain is missing?

Hi,
Here is the Warning message during make command for ndiswrapper 1.47:
Quote:
make[2]: Entering directory `/usr/src/linux-2.6.17-14mdv'

WARNING: Symbol version dump /usr/src/linux-2.6.17-14mdv/Module.symvers
is missing; modules will have no dependencies and modversions.

Building modules, stage 2.
MODPOST
make[2]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/linux-2.6.17-14mdv'
I will keep trying and post here whatever I think make sense on this problem.Later on I will try compile my own kernel, but now I just want to fix my network.
Thanks
