not sure of how much help i can be to you, but i am willing to try. i got my wireless card working under suse 10.1. i have never used suse 9 and have currently moved on to slackware 10.2, anyway...
the best resource i found was the suse linux forum:
i also found andrew18's walk-through extremely helpful. to find his contributions and others google
"andrew18 wmp54gs wireless ndiswrapper" add or take away information to get different things. here is a great link to an informative thread:
when i configured my system this by itself did not work. i actually had to use the route command to add my router's ip address to the ip table so that my machine could find it no problem. i don't know if that is gospel or if i didn't know a better way to get it done.
things to remember:
* make sure you know the chipset of your card. linksys changes chipsets so you should verify the card so you can get the appropriate driver.
* if you compiled a 64 bit system you need the appropriate 64 bitdriver (amd)
* make sure you have the security right, allowed ip, passwords, etc...
* check routing tables. after you follow all of the instructions look at your routes with the route command.
good luck!
