Intel Pro/Wireless 2200BG problem

Hi. I need help on configuring my intel pro/wireless 2200BG card under FC4.

The ifup-eth1 mis not generated in network-scripts

I've installed the firmware and now there are no errors when issuing "dmesg |grep 2200", this is the output:
Code:
============================================================================================
[root@vaiogpg ~]# dmesg |grep 2200 ipw2200: Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 2200/2915 Network Driver, 1.0.0
ipw2200: Copyright(c) 2003-2004 Intel Corporation
ipw2200: Detected Intel PRO/Wireless 2200BG Network Connection
============================================================================================

Network settings in gnome won't start and trying "system-config-network" the configuration interface is not started and this is the output:

============================================================================================
[root@vaiogpg ~]# system-config-network

Message from syslogd@vaiogpg at Thu Dec 22 19:58:16 2005 ...
vaiogpg kernel: Disabling IRQ #10
============================================================================================
Can you help me solving this? Thanks in advance
Regards

Please do not post the same thread in more than one forum. Picking the most relevant forum and posting it once there makes it easier for other members to help you and keeps the discussion all in one place.

Initially I thought that the drivers for the 2200bg didn't work under FC4.

but it turns out that the firmware timeout was too short. After I increased it, it worked fine.

look in dmesg and see if the firmware detection times out. If that's the case, then increase the timeout period. Sorry I don't exactly remember how. I'll have to reboot my machine into linux to find out.

I have Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 2200BG Network Connection and i'm trying to get it to work on Redhat 9.0 using DI-524 wireless router. Can someone please state the steps i gotta follow. I'd appreciate it!
