Exclamation Hello LAN! but where's the WAN?!


Distro --> Slackware 12.0
D-Link DWL-G510 rev B. --> is said to work with ndiswrapper and my kernel

Configured wlan0:
addr: 192.168.1.200 broadcast: 192.168.1.255 mask 255.255.255.0

I was so happy to be able to finally get to my router. Then I tried google and nothing. I can use nslookup to find googles ip, but I can't ping or get to any thing off the local network. I've tried using just the IP address but receive the same error "connect: Network is unreachable"

I was wondering if anyone could give me some suggestions. I have run out of idea's of where the problem is. Thanks

Try iwconfig as root and post the output.

So you can ping the router?

Above I've listed the output from iwconfig, ifconfig, and route.
I've just started messing with route which I've never used before and it is frustrating. Any advice?

it works with this...slowly. I typed "route add -net default gw 192.168.1.1"

so now I have two things with the same name. How do I delete the first one I made. If I set a gateway with "localnet" will it work the way I want? HOW DO I USE ROUTE!?!?!? I feel like it doesn't listen to me. I've been working on all last night and today and just want that damn card to work the way its supposed to!
