Firmware capabilities not found. intel 2200GB

I'm running Fedora core 3

I'm very close to getting my wireless connection going, the fireware is in the correct dir and the system has seen the hardware. I've set it up but when i've tried to connect it fails saying there is no link present. If I run the load comand I get the following.

Unloaded: ipw2200 ieee80211 ieee80211_crypt
grep: /proc/kallsyms: Np such file or directory
Firmware capabilities not found. See INSTALL.
Load failed.

I've started a blog on my setting up of Fedora core 3 on my ACER TravelMate 290.
