Arrow Fedora3 on Thinkpad A31 2652Q5U - Wireless Trouble

**EDIT** It works now, see below.

Although I have read many great and useful posts and articles while solving this one and
am close, I'm still stuck. I think by now...it is something silly that I am missing, but have
been at it too long and am fried. A fresh perspective could be what I need.

PROBLEM:
I can ping local machines(by name and IP), but nothing outside on the internet(by name or IP) with my wireless(eth1) interface. eth0(wired) works fine.
Turned off encryption on Linksys BEFW11S4 for troubleshooting.

The wireless connection has operated with another OS.
I did:
/sbin/ifconfig eth0 down
/sbin/route add default gw <GW ADDRESS>
...which allows me to ping the local machines with eth1.

Following are some details that may help you help me.
Thank you in advance for any and all suggestions.

Did I forget to add anything?
It seems that I have a wireless connection working, but have misconfigured something else. All of the DNS addresses are set the same as eth0(which works).

I just booted with a Ubuntu live cd which made the wireless card eth0
and I was on the internet with wireless no problem(after some setup)

That means I am doing something wrong in the configuration for the
Fedora installation, but I can't find it.

How do I make eth1 connect to the internet through the gw...
In addition to entering dns and gw info just as it is for eth0.

??

I set eth0 onboot=no and it works now, but I am trying to find a nice way to switch back and forth.

This is the way I am doing it now...let me know if you have a better way.

1. Set eth0 (wired) to NOT start on boot.
2. Set eth1 (wireless) to start on boot.
- Now I am using the wireless connection.
3. Switch to eth0 (wired), if I want to...by:
-Turning off eth1. /sbin/ifdown eth1
-Turning on eth0. /sbin/ifup eth0
-Did this(a) so I don't have to type all that crap every time:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
a. vi /sbin/goeth0
insert the above down and up commands and save
- "i" to insert, type the commands, typa a " : " (appears at the bottom of the screen)
--then type "wq" to wite and quit(no quotes, just wq) and hit enter.

chmod u+x /sbin/goeth0 (so root can exec it)
then just do: #/sbin/./goeth0 and the wired network is ready and able
-----------------------------------------------------------end a
4. If I want to go back I just do this:
-#/sbin/service network restart
and the wireless is fired up and able and the wired(eth0) is off.

nice talkin' to ya
