I don't use Suse but this should work.
Get the primary and secondary DNS ip
from windows, write it down.
use the wvdialconf to detect the phone modem.
edit chap and pap secret files, add user name
and password. For the sever column just put
and * , add the DNS ip to resolve file.
Edit the wvdial.conf
phone number *99# -it works for my network,
I use a motorola V3i on celtel network(Nigeria).
Try and post your error messages. Good luck

What have you tried?
What is your distro?

The first thing is to get the phone recognized.

If the usb system dosn't see the phone when it is plugged in, there's not much you can do unless there is a linux driver for it. (Try www.wowlg.com)

Check the phone is using the right settings (consult the manual).

Plug the phone in and check the output of lsusb ... failing that, look in the syslog (dmesg) for messages about a new usb device found.

OK... so the motorola driver for the motorola phone "isn't working"... therefore... you.. want.. to.. try.. another.. one... like; a nokia driver maybe?

http://global.mobileaction.com/downl...13&modelID=490
http://store.payloadz.com/str-asp-i....nd-detail.html
.. these are alternate sources of the driver... but why would you expect anyone to have a different driver to motorola? After all, it's their phone.

http://lists.kde.org/?l=kde-pim&m=115143123600913&w=2
... for sync - seems usb connection is supported without special driver. You want to use the phone as a modem? There doesn't seem to be anything linux-specific for this. The best you can do is switch the phone to modem mode and plug it in... see what happens.
