broadcom bcm94306 and ndiswrapper question

I've been trying to get Fedora Core 2 working on my Dell Latitude x200. Most things are great so far, but one show stopper has been my wireless networking. I've got a Dell Truemobile 1350 802.11b/g Mini-PCI card in it. I followed the directions in the HWCL for the BCM94306 (which is what this card is) using ndiswrapper, but I just can't get it right.

It seems at though it should work, because i can successfully iwlist wlan0 scan and see my wireless network. so obviously the card is functioning and iwconfig is workign with it. but when i try to ifup wlan0, it won't get a dhcp address and says Link failed .. Check cable. Any tips, I really want to get this working.

any WEP encryption? MAC filtering? try manually assigning an ip with ifconfig, check your route table too (that one screwed me over a few times setting up my wireless)

yes to mosf to the above. WEP is enabled, at 128bit, but i set up my key with iwconfig wlan0 key "". I also have MAC filtering enabled, but the MAC is set up to be allowed in my router, that shouldn't be a problem. I don't think anything's wrong with my routing table, but i'm not really sure how to check that. I haven't even gotten an IP address yet, so I would think routing would be my next problem if there is one.

I did want to add the output I got from some commands, just to show why I think i'm set up right.
[root@x200 ndiswrapper]# ndiswrapper -l
Installed ndis drivers:
bcmwl5 hardware present
[root@x200 ndiswrapper]# iwconfig

well to set the route just type: route add default gw 192.168.0.1 or whatever your router ip is, if it errors "SIOCADDRT: File exists" then its already there. Ive had nothing but trouble using WEP and ndiswrapper, but thats just my experiences.

my route is set properly, i just determined that with route -n. I disabled WEP on my router, still having problems. What are my options besides ndiswrapper? I've heard of other non open source products, but don't remember the names. i'll try anything.

well, i got it working with linuxant. Pretty easy, i'm not sure what the issue was with ndiswrapper. I may try again later, but for now I'm good with this. Thanks for the help.
