Virtualbox: can I reserve Alt-Backspace to the VM?

When playing with a distro (specifically an ISO used as a liveCD) in Virtualbox, I have to train myself never to use Alt-backspace to exit the account. I learned the hard way that alt-backspace is not reserved to the virtual machine, and will back me out of my real user account. Is there any way to change that?

yes, virtualbox' own settings allow to change hotkeys.

If the host reserves key combo's then you can't re-map them usually.

See if these ideas help. Bottom of page suggest you can map any but I assume you need guest additions. Not all live media has that built in.

You could set up an electric shock when you make mistake and a cookie when you do correctly.
