E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)

Hi,

If anyone came across this issue and resolved, please let me know.

ldconfig deferred processing now taking place
Errors were encountered while processing:
eucalyptus-cc
eucalyptus-cloud
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)

This is a powerful dell machine to be used as a cloud node, Ubuntu ent. 10.4

I tried to fix with various ways by googling but it seems no one has a solution for it yet.

Thanks in advance
CM

apt-get update && apt-get upgrade

or upgrade (which I am working on) did fail.

apt-get install update-manager-core
do-release-upgrade

above commands will run and print the same error.

I tried steps such:

apt-get clean
dpkg --configure -a
cp -r /var/lib/apt/lists /var/lib/apt/lists.bad
cd /var/lib/apt/lists
rm -r *
apt-get update

etc. with -f option as well, still the same.

thanks

that was the all output but anyway - no worries...
i don't have time for this bug, a fresh ver.11.04 was done quicker with no errors...better then wasting time with that bug though it would be good to figure that...
have fun!
