I have a short but maybe complicated question:
I use Linux Debian as my main system and a Oracle VM VirtualBox with Windows 7.
Now I wanted to change the domain name server of windows 7 only. I know how to change it on my host system (linux debian). Changing it in Windows is no issue either but when I do it the internet connection of my Oracle VM VirtualBox chrashes.

So how can I use a different DNS in my Oracle VM VirtualBox (Windows 7) than on my main system (Linux Debian).

Which kind of networking are you using?
This is terribly tricky with the default NAT setup: tricky like "no".
If you are interface sharing the Windows should pick up the settings from your DHCP server. Since windows puts the most convenient manual settings in the adapter configuration (which is silly if you ask me, but you can do that silly thing with Linux also so I cannot trash them for it) and windows does not actually own the adapter, things get tricky that way also. Tricky but you can get away with it.

So, "which kind of networking are you using?" is a key question here.

You mean in the Oracle VM VirtualBox Manager? I already tried several way: NAT, Network Address Translation Serviceetc. I once use a Whonix Gateway as internal Network but it was super slow. I will use whatever you tell me.

I use NAT almost all the time.

It is a virtual router but that doesn't really mean much in this case. The DNS server will be in network adapter settings. Usually leave or set IP address to range in virtual router and then you can edit in a new DNS ip address. I usually just put my local home router or opendns or googles or better still use your ISP's choice of DNS.
