CentOS 5 won't start in virtualbox

I am running virtualbox 3.2 on Ubuntu 10.04.

I use VB to test a variety of Linux distro's and thus far have not encountered any that refuse to work, except for CentOS 5. VB loads the live CD iso and I can see the CentOS background with the phrase "Automatic boot in 10... 9... etc" counting down. When the countdown reaches 0, the message disappears... and I'm left staring at the background for the next year, until I turn off the virtual machine.

I'm not sure why other distro's run fine on Virtualbox but CentOS 5 will not.

In my case, currently in a normal desktop machine there are 4 virtual centos5.x working and host OS also Centos5.x(just with 4Gb ram dual core processor). I think you need check the Live CD iso whether it is bootable or not corrupted

I downloaded the DVD image and everything appears to be working now. Thanks for the advice.
