Can not connect to Vmware Server 2 on Fedora 11 from Windows XP

I have verified all Vmware server 2 services are running and I can access the server via web interface (Firefox). My preferred method is to use a remote console client, similar to Vmware Server 1. Unfortunately, I don't know where to download or locate a remote client compatible with Vmware Server 2. Just curious, but what remote clients, if any, other users of vmware server 2 are using?

If using a remote client is not possible with vmware server 2, I may downgrade to vmware server 1 and use the provided console client.

I think VMWare has discontinued this client in later (free) versions. This means you have to use the firefox plugin. Normally you should only use that console for installing. After that use the client OS remote service instead. Remote Desktop client for windows, VNC for linux with X and SSH for headless Linux. If you have a linux server I recommend installing webmin as remote management. This is a web based service to manage most services you have on the server.

Hope this helps you.

VmWare Server 2 haven't console interface only Web GUI.
To connect remotely You should install Firefox plugin and open port on Fedora server.

If You need console then use VmWare Server 1 or migrate to XEN or KVM (Fedora support both).
