xmacro complaining about dependencies that appear to be installed

I got a new laptop a few days ago, to which I installed Fedora 12, and I am trying to install xmacro on it. I downloaded

xmacro-pre0.3-3.1.x86_64.rpm

and tried to install it, but I get a failed dependencies error.

$ rpm -i xmacro-pre0.3-3.1.x86_64.rpm

error: Failed dependencies:
libX11 libXtst is needed by xmacro-pre0.3-3.1.x86_64

so I try to install these dependencies, but it appears to be already installed.

$ yum install libX11 libXtst

Loaded plugins: presto, refresh-packagekit
Setting up Install Process
Package libX11-1.3-1.fc12.x86_64 already installed and latest version
Package libXtst-1.0.99.2-3.fc12.x86_64 already installed and latest version
Nothing to do

I am really confused. I also tried

$ yum localinstall xmacro-pre0.3-3.1.x86_64.rpm

and got a messier output that I do not understand. I'll make a separate post with this so this one doesn't get too long.

I looked at this thread and one of the posts says there are instructions here but the link does not work for me.

I installed xmacro on my old laptop (Debian) with no problems. I don't remember how, but I suppose it will be different installing an rpm anyway.

Can someone please help me?

Jeremy

I still have no idea what the problem is, but I found another rpm file here and that installed with no problems.

It's just an insignificant bug in an install script for
that package. Happens for say one of hundred packages.

The command :
rpm -Uvh --nodeps xmacro-pre0.3-3.1.x86_64.rpm
... should do the trick.
