wwwrun user rights issue

Hi

My Apache webserver is the wwwrun user

Whenever I used the exec function in PHP to create a directory, Apache always creates it with the permissions 0077, then it cannot add to the directory!

It used to create the directories with 0774 permissions, but I was playing around with a .bash_profile in the htdocs directory and I think it may have been that what brought about the change in permissions for the directory it creates.

I removed the .bash_profile, but still apache refuses to created directories with the 0774 permissions.

does anyone have any words of advice, I'm absolutely lost on this one.

Many Thanks
