Odd, I find the tips at winehq generally correct. Some may say use winetricks.

Guess you could try crossover office for the 30 day demo to see how well it works. Some of the apps have a sort of batch file to help install apps correctly.

well the wine page lists for the OLD 1.3.5
and the CURRENT is 1.5.13

if the error in the FIRST is STILL correct

install the 32 bit /lib &/usr/lib 32 bit compatibility libs

this can be "checked" in yast
to auto install the 32 bit along with the 64 bit
