Which drivers is fit to the ATI card Regon 8500LE


In the mplayer's perferences ->video has some drivers to select
there are :
xv X11/xv
x11 X11(XImage/Shm)
gl X11(OpenGL)
gl2 X11(OpenGL) - multiple textures version
dfbmga DirectFB / Matrox G200/G400/G450/G550
xvidix X11(VIDIX)

Try them and see which one gives you the best video quality along with low CPU utilization. Yes. it is just that easy!

As far as which is best? It depends on your particular configuration - combination of RAM, FSB speed, CPU type, and CPU speed. Try them - you can't hurt anything; worst case, xine will crash and you'll have to restart it and try a different overlay selection type.

It definitely will not be a Matrox driver though, that's for sure!
