Where can i find the File containing information of Printer driver


Hi everyone,

Plz help me , in which file system can i get the information containing printer driver manufacturer name, product name , version .

hopefully waiting for a positive reply ,

if i got you right:

there is a file called printcap and usually finds itself in /etc. this file is used to configure the printer. if you use somthing like cups there are *.ppd files which are definitions-files for various printers and filters used by the printing subsystem.
