Smile What /net Directory contains.


I am using redhat linux version 5 and i just want to know what kind of files are in /net, /misc directories. i tried to search for finding answer but till i didn't find a suitable answer. can somebody answer my question.

did you look in the directories to see?? They should be empty, as they are mount locations for autofs. You can read up on autofs / automount if you wish, but they are not a core part of the system at all, and can be removed if you don't want to utilize them.
